Sr. Sales Representative

 

HJW Geospatial, Inc. is seeking a proven Sr. Sales Representative to accelerate our growth and firmly establish HJW Geospatial as the market leader for the mapping services industry.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate new business in assigned territories through prospecting, cold-calling, networking and generating leads and referrals. 
  • Provide input to and actively participate in the development of the corporate strategic plan, specifically in areas of market segmentation and sales development, through development of market-specific business plans and recommendations.  Such participation is expected to drive company direction through innovative and creative business development strategies.
  • Will meet and exceed monthly sales quota objectives by acquiring and retaining accounts in public and private market sectors. 
  • Fully utilize Salesforce.com and other prospecting tools to support account activities and forecasting.  Generate reports on sales activities, forecasts and territory business plan.
  • Work closely with other members of the sales and marketing team to ensure efficient handling of all accounts.
  • Participate in sales meetings and strategic planning sessions.  Provide existing customers with the highest standard of customer service, in order to retain and grow existing business. 
  • Will identify and develop new target markets, as well as cultivate and expand existing markets. 
  • Frequently meet with clients to gain knowledge of product needs, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace. 
  • Work closely with Marketing to provide input to overall marketing plan, attend and support trade shows and other marketing programs as necessary.

Qualifications:

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years outside sales/account management experience with emphasis on government selling and major accounts. Experience with GIS, Mapping or Engineering Services is a plus.
  • Ability to define target markets.
  • Ability to define and develop new leads.
  • Ability to develop proposals and bids.
  • Proven superior professional selling, prospecting and account management skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and communication skills and outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Must be able to travel within the Western United States.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and proof of insurance.
